Russian Diamond Antai Group will supply equipment for natural gas production on the Russian continental shelf this year

Alcom Shatrakov, director of the Civil Production Development Department of "Diamond Antai" Group, told the satellite news agency on the sidelines of the "Russia Africa" forum that this year, "Diamond Antai" Group will begin to test and supply the first batch of Import substitution industrialization natural gas production equipment on the Russian continental shelf.

Shatrakov said: "As usual, any crisis is not only a difficulty, but also a new opportunity. For example, the equipment we developed and manufactured for Gazprom (Gazprom) has never been produced in Russia or the Soviet Union. This is purely Import substitution industrialization to ensure oil and gas production on the continental shelf."

According to Shatrakov, this work has been carried out for several years and will continue.

Shatrakov said: "We and our customers have determined the technical requirements of the product, and the company's production capacity is ready to produce this kind of equipment. This year, we will test this equipment and begin to deliver it in complete sets. Considering that Russia has never produced this kind of equipment, this is a considerable technological breakthrough."

In 2019, Gazprom and "Diamond Antai" Group signed a long-term contract to mass produce and supply Import substitution industrialization equipment for underwater hydrocarbon exploitation.
